Get started with Anavio

Use this roadmap to set up Anavio or find the steps for an invitation you received. Administrators configure the account, devices, and access. Employees can go straight to their enrollment or mobile instructions.

If you received an invitation

• Account or portal invitation: Start with Create your account and sign in → Join an existing account.
• Selfie enrollment link and PIN: Go to Enroll a face credential → Enroll from your invitation. You do not need the administrator instructions.
• Mobile access invitation: Follow Set up and use mobile access to install the app, sign in, and open a nearby door.

Set up an account as an administrator

Have the installer complete the hardware and network work first. Use the guide for your hardware: Unified Reader quick install guide (PDF), NEXT Solo fixture quick install guide (PDF), or NEXT Multi-Sensor quick install guide (PDF).

1. Follow Create your account and sign in. If the account already exists, ask its administrator for the portal permissions you need.
2. Follow Set up sites, zones, and time zones. A site represents a location; zones group devices, including readers and cameras, within that site.
3. Follow Add readers and camera hubs to register the installed hardware and assign its location.
4. For door access, use Add and manage users to create employees and assign existing groups. If shared access still needs to be defined, use Set up groups and assign access, with Set up schedules for doors and hours and Set up holidays for holiday choices.
5. Enroll the credential each employee will use: Enroll a face credential, Assign a card or key fob, or Issue a mobile credential. Send phone users to Set up and use mobile access after issuance.

For a camera-only setup, continue from hub onboarding to Configure camera image and audio and Watch live video and use Video Wall. Add intercom setup only if your site uses it; see Set up the intercom directory and doorbell notifications.
