Use Video Wall to watch live cameras together and save arrangements you can reopen. A view can contain several pages of cameras.
Use a desktop browser and an account with access to Video Wall and the cameras you need. Cameras must already be added to Anavio. If a view already exists, start with Watch or switch views below.
Create a camera view
- Open Video Wall and select Create View.
- In Enter Name, enter a name (for example, "Reception Cameras"). Use Select Site(s) and Select Zones to narrow the devices shown in Add Devices.
- Leave Public off for a personal view. Public can be enabled only when all devices in the view are from one site. Confirm the intended sharing scope with your administrator before using it.
- In Add Devices, expand the relevant locations. Select Grid Layout and choose the arrangement you need, then drag cameras into the grid cells.
Example camera arrangement. Choose a grid and cameras that fit your view. Select the image to view it full size. - If you need another page, select Add Page and arrange its cameras. Use the page controls below the grid to move between pages.
- Select Save View.
Watch or switch views
- In Video Wall, open the view-name menu and select the saved view you want.
- Use the page controls below the cameras to change pages. To rotate pages automatically, open the gear menu and choose Auto Switch with the interval you need; choose Off to stop rotation.
Choose how often to switch pages, or choose Off. The view and camera names are examples. Select the image to view it full size. - Double-click a camera's live picture to open its larger, high-definition view. Close that view to return to the wall. The full-screen control enlarges the wall itself.
- To change a view you own, select Edit View, adjust its cameras or pages, and select Update. Edit View is unavailable when you are not the view's owner.
Understand the camera status
The small status dot describes the live connection. Its color is not a recording or archive-retention indicator.
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Blue — P2P streaming | Video uses a direct connection between the camera and your browser. |
| Green — cloud streaming | Video uses a cloud relay connection. |
| Red — offline | The camera is reported offline or disconnected. |
Anavio chooses the available streaming path automatically. A cloud connection is a live-view path; it does not establish that cloud backup is enabled or that past footage is available.
If video does not load, freezes, or has no audio, follow Fix live video or audio problems. To investigate an earlier event, use Search camera activity and play recordings.
