Use manual controls to unlock a door for one entry or keep it unlocked until you change the setting. Recurring opening hours belong in Set up schedules.
You need permission to unlock the door for a single unlock, and permission to change device settings for Keep Door Unlocked. The reader must be connected. The door-list action Unlock the Door also requires Web in the reader's Identification Workflow; ask your administrator if that action is unavailable.
Unlock for one entry
- Open Devices → Doors and find the intended door.
- Open its row menu and select Unlock the Door.
- Check Lock State and any error message.
You can also find Unlock under the door's row menu → Door Settings → Access Control.
Keep the door unlocked
Warning: Keeping a door unlocked allows entry without presenting a credential. Confirm that unrestricted entry is intended before turning this setting on.
- Open the door's row menu → Door Settings → Access Control.
- Turn Keep Door Unlocked on.
- In Confirm Operation, select Confirm.
- Check Lock State and any error message.
Turn off Keep Door Unlocked
- Return to Door Settings → Access Control.
- Turn Keep Door Unlocked off and select Confirm in Confirm Operation.
- Check Lock State and any error message.
Turning this setting off requests locking; it does not guarantee an immediate return to the scheduled state. If the door does not follow its intended hours, see Fix scheduled unlocking and closing. For an active lockdown, see Activate lockdown and return to normal operation.
