Use the Lockdown control to activate an existing plan and deactivate it when the responsible operator authorizes the end of lockdown.
A lockdown plan must already be configured, and you must be authorized to trigger it. Confirm the plan's intended doors and actions with its administrator beforehand. For setup, see Create a lockdown plan. Seeing the Lockdown button does not establish that you have permission to activate the plan.
Activate the existing plan
Important: Activating the plan starts its configured actions, which can affect door access and send alerts. Confirm that the displayed plan is the one you intend to activate before selecting Activate.
- In the Anavio portal, select Lockdown at the top of the screen.
- In the Lockdown dialog, check the displayed workflow name and status. If it says No workflows have been created, an administrator must complete plan setup before you can use this procedure.
Example plan awaiting activation. Check your own plan name before acting. Select the image to view it full size. - Select Activate. This is the action control; do not expect a second confirmation dialog.
- Review the response and reopen Lockdown to check the displayed status. The portal can report Lockdown activated or Lockdown command failed. A permission error needs an authorized operator; the visible button is not a substitute for that authorization.
The plan may have a configured duration. Do not assume it remains active indefinitely or that a success response confirms every door has changed state. Follow your site's response procedure for confirming affected doors.
End lockdown
Warning: Deactivated is the plan's displayed status. Do not assume it restores every door's previous manual setting or scheduled state. Check the intended condition of the affected doors before relying on normal access.
- When the responsible operator authorizes ending lockdown, select Lockdown again.
Example active plan. Deactivate only when the responsible operator authorizes it. Select the image to view it full size. - Check the displayed plan and Activated status, then select Deactivate.
- Review the response and reopen the dialog to check for Deactivated. If the command fails or permission is refused, contact an authorized administrator and report the exact message.
- In Devices → Doors, review the affected doors. Their row menu → Door Settings → Access Control shows Lock State and Door State. Confirm the actual condition through the site's responsible staff before declaring normal operation restored.
If a door does not match its intended hours afterward, use Fix scheduled unlocking and closing and contact support with the plan name, activation and deactivation times, affected doors, and reported states. Do not toggle unrelated manual controls or restart readers as a guessed recovery procedure.
