The Anavio I/O Controller is a critical component of your door access control system, designed to prevent tampering with the wiring of the Anavio Reader when connected directly to an electrified door lock. It enhances security by connecting the Reader to the door lock, as well as additional components like push buttons or door contacts, via encrypted RS-485 communication.
The I/O Controller serves as a protective intermediary between the Reader and the door lock, ensuring that unauthorized individuals cannot tamper with the wiring to gain access. This additional layer of security is especially important for perimeter door access control systems, where components are more exposed to potential security risks.
It is important to note that the I/O Controller requires an external power source with the following minimum requirements: 12VDC, 100mA. Follow the Quick Install Guide for the Anavio I/O Controller for installation instructions.
