Prerequisites
For a user to have access to the entire mobile app experience, the following must be done by an administrator:
- The user must have a Mobile Credential added to their user account under the User Details page.
- This allows the user to use the mobile app.
- When Add is selected, the user will receive an email with a link to the Apple Store or Google Play to download the Anavio app to their device.
- The user must be an authorized user in the schedule the door device is following.
- This allows the user access to the door device(s).
- The user must be added to the Directory to receive the doorbell notifications.
- This allows the user to receive the doorbell notifications when the doorbell is triggered.
- The Mobile Identification Workflow Setting must be present under the Identification Workflow page for the door device.
- This allows the user to unlock the door device.
Launching the Anavio Mobile App
When the user launches the mobile app after installation for the first time, the following permissions will display for authorization by the user:
- At the Sign In page:
- Bluetooth – to unlock nearby doors.
- After signing in:
- Location – to identify and access nearby doors.
- Microphone – for live communication.
- Notifications – to receive app notifications such as doorbell notifications.
- After Accepting the first doorbell call:
- Local Networks – to discover, connect to and collect data from devices on your networks.
- Allowing this permission for the first time might disconnect the first doorbell call:
- Subsequent doorbell calls will work as designed.
- The user may disable this permission after the first doorbell call.
- Subsequent doorbell calls will work as designed.
Home page:
- The top of the Home page displays:
- The user’s profile picture (if uploaded) or a blank avatar.
- The user’s full name.
- The Account name the user belongs to.
- Searching for nearby devices:
- Bluetooth must be enabled on the mobile device for this feature to work.
- The Bluetooth permission must be granted access by the user on the app for this feature to work.
- “Searching for nearby doors…” displays in a button with a circular progress icon for 30 seconds.
- During this time, the mobile app is searching for any door devices in the proximity of the mobile phone.
- After 30 seconds, the button will display “Search for Nearby Doors”.
- The user must tap the “Search for Nearby Doors” button to resume searching for nearby devices.
- The user can also navigate to another page on the app and then come back to the Home page to resume searching for nearby devices.
- Any door devices found will display with their door name under the “Search for Nearby Doors” button.
- Tapping on the door device’s name button will unlock the door associated with the door device.
Doors page:
- The top of the Doors page displays the Site name the user has access to.
- If the user has access to more than one site within the same account, a dropdown menu will display at the top of the Doors page.
- The user can switch between the Sites using the dropdown menu.
- Any door devices the user has access to will display on this Doors page with the following information:
- The door device’s name.
- The Site name the door device belongs to.
