Anavio is a cloud-based platform enabling administrators to securely access and manage Anavio devices from anywhere, using any device. This user guide will help you get started with the Anavio portal.
Setting Up Your Anavio Account:
- Go to Anavio Signup.
- Enter your account name, email address, and set up a password.
- Verify your email by clicking on the link sent to you.
Note:
- Some email systems may block the automatic email server used by Anavio to send the welcome email. Therefore, it is encouraged to check the master admin user's email SPAM folder and mark the email as safe.
- The email link to set your password expires in 10 minutes. If it expires, you will need to reset the master admin user's password.
- If the master admin user is not available to perform the initial account setup, please contact our support team or your account manager for assistance.
Adding a Device to Your Account:
- Log in to your Anavio portal account.
- Go to the "Doors" or "Cameras" section.
- Click "Add Devices."
- Check for available licenses. If you do not have a license in your account, please contact us at anavio@vicon-secuirty.com with your account ID.
- Enter the serial number of the device and click "Add." Multiple devices can be added at the same time.
- Click “Add Devices.”
Terminology:
- Doors: Any entry or exit point with an Access Control unit (e.g., door, gate, turnstile).
- Door State: Indicates whether the door is open or closed.
- Lock State: Indicates whether the electronic lock is locked or unlocked.
- Credentials: A face, card/fob, or mobile device used to gain access.
- Mobile Credential: The Anavio app installed on a user’s smartphone for access.
- Cloud Key: A temporary access link generated from the admin portal.
- User: An individual defined in the admin portal with credentials and access permissions.
- Groups: Assign door access permissions to groups of users.
- Roles: Permissions assigned to users with admin portal access.
- Schedule: Defined dates and times for door or user access.
- Site: A physical location (e.g., building, office) containing doors and zones.
- Zone: Specific locations within a site, typically entrances or exits.
- Remote Unlock: A feature to remotely unlock an entry via the admin portal.
- Exit Button/Request to Exit: Triggers the reader to unlock the door.
- Reader: Anavio Unified Intercom Reader device for reading faces, cards, fobs, and mobile credentials.
- Camera: Anavio cloud cameras.
- Identification Workflow: Rules for using single or multi-factor authentication.
- 1FA/2FA: Single-factor or two-factor authentication.
- Wiegand Reader: Reads information stored on a Wiegand card and transmits it to an access control unit.
- Video Intercom: A multimedia feature (2-way audio + video) for remote access communication.
- Doorbell Button: Notifies an admin or tenant of an external user requesting access.
- Active Monitoring: Real-time visual inspection and direct interaction with devices.
- Passive Monitoring: Automated notifications for relevant events without continuous manual intervention.
