A third party Wiegand or OSDP Reader can be connected to the UIR to enable card credentials from that Reader to be sent to the UIR. These credentials must be associated with Anavio users to enable their access to the door to which the UIR is connected.
Hardware Setup
Third Party Wiegand Reader
Wire the third party Reader to the UIR’s Wiegand Input 1, Input 0 and Ground.
Third Party OSDP Reader
Wire the third party Reader to the UIR’s RS485 +, RS485 -, and Ground.
Software Setup
Click on the Doors menu and select a door associated to the UIR that the third party Reader is also connected to.
Click on the Settings menu and scroll down and check “Wiegand Input Enabled”.
To use a card credential on a third party Wiegand or OSDP Reader that is connected to a UIR, there must be a user to which that card credential is associated; if there is not an existing user, then a new user must be created in.
Go to the Users menu to select an existing user or to add a new user. Scroll to the bottom and click on Add Manually under the Card or Key FOB section.
Enter the card credential’s Facility Code (Site ID) and Card Number.
