Directory
This guide describes how to create a directory from which users can be contacted and how to utilize the intercom feature for secure and convenient communication.
Creating a Directory
Step 1: Access the Directory Feature
- Open the Anavio webpage on your device.
- Navigate to the Directory section from the Settings page.
Step 2: Adding an Entry
Select Users
- Click on Add Entry.
- A drop-down menu labeled Users displays.
- Click on the drop-down menu and select the desired user from the list.
- If you need to add multiple users, repeat the selection process for each user.
Select Sites
- After selecting users, proceed to the Site drop-down menu.
- Click on the drop-down menu and choose the appropriate site where the user can be contacted.
- You can select multiple sites by repeating the selection process for each site.
Step 3: Save the Entry
- Once you have selected the users and sites, click on the Save button to add the entry to the directory.
Intercom Feature
Using the Intercom Feature
The intercom feature allows you to see who is at the door and interact with them before deciding whether to allow them entry. It operates as follows:
- Notification: When someone presses the doorbell, you will receive a push notification on your device.
- Snapshot of the event: Upon opening the notification, the user will see a snapshot of the doorbell event from the device. If the person is identified, the user can decide to unlock the door before interacting live with person.
- Live Video: On accepting the call, the Anavio app will show a live video feed of who is at the door.
- Two-Way Audio Communication: A two-way audio conversation can be initiated with the person at the door directly from the app.
- Remote Unlock: Based on the interaction, you can decide whether to remotely unlock the door from the Anavio app.
Enabling Push Notifications
To ensure you receive notifications, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Other tab under the door’s Device Details section in the Anavio webpage.
- Enable Send Push Notifications for the device.
Mobile Credential Configuration
To configure mobile credentials for users:
- Go to the Users Management section in the Anavio webpage.
- Select the user who needs to receive notifications.
- Ensure that Mobile Credential is enabled for the user.
- This will send users a link to download the iOS and Android app.
- Save the changes.
